Yes! I was at the rally!!!

I had quite a great night tonight.

I'm exhuasted right now but what I have seen tonight would be a night to remember. I've never thought I'd actually get to be part of any protest in Thailand coz my family wouldn't allow it. But it is a job and they thought that I would be in the office so everything was ok. I couldn't hide it any longer when someone from the office called when my dad was giving a ride to the office tonight.

Apart from getting up at 7 am this morning and taking diving class for about 6 hours and went with no sleep at all to the rally, I felt totally fresh.

I arrived at the Royal Plaza around 11 pm and everything was still going on at its peak. People were shouting 'Thaksin, Get Out!' and the things they talked about on the stage was still fierce. I was walking around trying to get some tidbits from the rally coz there wasn't so much to cover. But then at around 1 am, a procession took form. Khun Sondhi was leading the procession to the Royal Thai Army headquater.

It was really cool to be there, right in front of the crowd and looked at them. Over 1 thousand people marched together, with determination and the feeling of doing something for their country. They did everything out of their good heart and spirit, no profit at all. Patriotism,  the love for one's own country, the unrivalled kind of feeling.

It was quite scary at first seeing those crowd walking really fast, almost running, towards us media. We tried to run away from them. I was scared but then they slowed their pace down and it looked very impressive.

It was my first time being part of that real protest.

It's not often, too, that I'll get to walk in the middle of the Rachadamneon Road like that! ;)

From the Royal Plaza, we walked to the Royal Thai Army headquarter, which is right across the Rachadamneon Boxing Stadium. Khun Sondhi was there and trying to give the letter asking the army to cease their support to the PM to the Commander in Chief, himself. So Khun Sondhi and Khun Sarocha went inside without the protesters and all the media stayed out.

While we were waiting, the leaders of the rally asked all the protestors to sit down and be quiet becoz it was around 1:40 am then. And everyone sat down and went totally quiet, not that much noise from people chatting even. It was totally impressive! Who said protestors always look for trouble? It was totally a peaceful rally.

Right now its 13 mins to 6 am and a lot of people are still there. Some of them sleeping out in the open, feeling so tired and maybe do this for the first time ever in their lives. They show their good spirit, stand up for what they believe is right, fighting for their country.
There's no heroic picture of someone standing at gun point, but the air at the Royal Plaza is filled with feelings of heroic people who are brave and bold enough to get together for their belief.

It was truly a night to remember.
